About Dr. Pilcher and services offered:

Dr. Pilcher has maintained an active practice of clinical and forensic counseling since 2001. Throughout his career he has striven to provide quality services to individuals, couples, families, and the community. This culminated in being awarded both the AMHCA diplomate in advanced clinical mental health counseling practice and clinical mental health counseling specialist in forensic evaluation.

He enjoys appointments as editorial board member of the Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment & Trauma, and editorial board member of the Journal of Family Trauma, Child Custody & Child Development (formerly the Journal of Child Custody).

Dr. Pilcher received his master of arts and doctor of philosophy degrees in counseling and subsequently earned a master of science degree in psychology. He maintains designations as a multi-state licensed clinical mental health counselor and addictions counselor.

Services:

Peer-Reviewer with Possible Testimony Dr. Pilcher will analyze a forensic report to assess the fidelity of the evaluation to accepted standards and guidelines. He'll offer accurate and objective education and information for the hiring law firm and ultimately the court about the forensic work-product. Dr. Pilcher reviews parenting plan, parenting capacity, mental health, substance use, and domestic/intimate partner violence evaluations.

Background Trial Consultation with No Testimony Here he will work with your legal team in an explicit effort to help them prevail or advocate for their client(s). He'll provide accurate and objective education and information for the hiring law firm about the forensic work-product along with other litigation assistance necessary for trial preparation.

Forensic Evaluation -- Involved, Appointed, and Ordered Dr. Pilcher provides a host of assessment in criminal and family law contexts such as mental health, substance use, and parenting capacity evaluations. Further yet, and depending on the nature of the circumstance, he will help with assessment as it relates to civil and juvenile dependency matters.
