Throughout his career, he has striven to provide quality services to individuals, couples, families and the community. Dr. Pilcher enjoys appointments as editorial board member of the Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment & Trauma, and editorial board member of the Journal of Family Trauma, Child Custody & Child Development (formerly the Journal of Child Custody). Further, he has and continues to serve his profession as treasurer (2017-2019), president (2019-2020), and past president (2020-2021) with the

Peer-Reviewer with Possible Testimony I will analyze a forensic report to assess the fidelity of the evaluation to accepted standards and guidelines. I'll offer accurate and objective education and information for the hiring law firm and ultimately the court about the forensic work-product. I review parenting plan, parenting capacity, mental health, substance use, and domestic/intimate partner violence evaluations.
Background Trial Consultation with No Testimony Here I work with your legal team in an explicit effort to help them prevail or advocate for their client(s). I'll provide accurate and objective education and information for the hiring law firm about the forensic work-product along with other litigation assistance necessary for trial preparation.
Forensic Evaluation -- Involved, Appointed, and Ordered I provide a host of assessment in family law contexts such as social investigation | parenting plan | child custody, parenting capacity, mental health, and substance use disorder evaluations. Further yet, and depending on the nature of the circumstance, I will help with assessment as it relates to criminal, civil, and juvenile dependency matters.
Reunification | Reintegration Therapy A child’s resistance or refusal to spend time with a parent can develop suddenly or over time. Regardless of the source or timing of the problem, such situations pose serious risks to the children and anguish to the parents. I provide both resisted and preferred parents insight into the source of the issue, skills for parenting a child in such circumstances and ideas for developing a coparenting relationship that allows the child to have a safe, secure relationship with both parents.
Therapeutic/Supervised Visitation This service refers to contact between a visiting parent and one or more children in the presence of a third-party responsible for observing and seeking to ensure the safety of those involved.
